Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups gathering together for the purpose of experiencing Christ and practicing applying the gospel to our lives. They meet weekly in homes to fellowship, pray and discuss scripture, a book, or the sermon and are led by trained lay-leaders from within the congregation.

Belonging to a Community Group is the best way to connect with others and become a "functional member" of our church. Our Community Groups are the primary place for people to experience being known and cared for at Hope. Our hope is for everyone who regularly attends Hope to belong to a Community Group. Please contact any of the groups below and visit several until you find one that is a good fit for you.

Sunday

Belk Group

Meets every Sunday near the Arboretum from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

We are a newly formed group hoping to build deeper more meaningful relationships. Open to all

Meets every Sunday near the Arboretum from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

We are a family-friendly group consisting of mostly married couples, both with and without kids. We currently use a rotating weekly schedule of Men Only, Women Only, Adults Only, and full family lunch gathering after church.

We are a group of couples and singles who are just starting and open to anybody who would like to join us.

Monday

Segetti/Spreen Group

Meets every Monday in Dilworth area from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

We meet over a sit-down dinner each week and discusses different topics. We use conversation and laughter as a way to build friendships and trust.

Whitley/Brown Group

Meets every Monday in Dilworth from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM. We spend some weeks enjoying community and dinner with one another while other weeks we spend time discussing the sermon from the previous day. We are comprised primarily of men and women without children in the 25-30 age bracket.

Tuesday

Barber/Stewart Group

Meets every Tuesday at rotating locations from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Guzi/Reynolds Group

Meets every Tuesday near Colony & Rae Road from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Our group is a mixture of singles and couples. We are a new group currently focused on building relationships with one another.

Harris Group

Meets every Tuesday near Quail Corners Shopping Center from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

We currently have dinner as a group followed by either study/discussion time or prayer nights where we separate into guys and girls. In September we'll be discussing the Grieving Sermon Series from this summer. Beginning in October we will be studying a lighter version of the Sonship Study, where we’ll be studying how the gospel can be applied daily as we live life together. Childcare is provided.

Barber/Luke Group

Meets every Wednesday Cotswold Area from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

This group is currently full.

Haneline Group

Meets every Wednesday in Matthews from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM.

Our group currently consists of singles and couples who have been married for less than 5 years.

Thursday

White Group

Meets every Thursday near Quail Corners Shopping Center from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

We are a group consisting mostly of young married couples between late 20's and late 30's (most with kids). We balance bible study, discussion and social events in fostering community centered on the Gospel. Meeting place rotates among several homes to share babysitting obligations (as sitters are not provided).
