Cindi Bolton, OP Women’s Shepherd

Cindi was born in North Carolina, grew up moving around the Southeast, and settled in Florence, SC, when she was in 5th grade. She attended Wofford College where she majored in English Literature and was pre-law, but she changed directions and stayed at Wofford working a few years in admissions and alumni.

Cindi met her husband, Breck, through a large singles’ Bible study in Greenville, where they lived for two years after marrying in 1988. They had their first child, Breck, Jr., then moved to Charlotte in 1991, where their second child, Blair, was born in 1993. She accepted Christ as Savior at the age of 12, but she gained a greater understanding of the gospel—seeing His hand at work in shaping and growing her—through the process of sanctification over many years through different events and struggles.

She has been involved in church leadership and numerous women’s Bible studies, and she and Breck have both been involved with pre-marital/marriage counseling, school support, mentoring, Charlotte Leadership Forum, and the Barnabas Center. Their involvement comes from how the Lord has used their own struggles and gifts to mold and teach them, which He continues today.

Cindi opened her own business in interior design in 2002 and has enjoyed that as well as several other endeavors under the creative realm, including weddings and event planning. She loves to learn and grow from studying and reading in groups with others, physical activity and fitness—especially golf, cooking, design, reading, music and art. Because she is an artist at heart, she approaches all of these things with an eye and heart longing to affect change and see beauty, while trying to accept God’s hand and enjoy his purpose in her and others.
