Below are the upcoming events on the Hope Community Church calendar. There are a mixture of men’s, women’s and church wide events that offer a great way to connect and build relationships. If you are looking for other opportunities to get more connected in the Hope community, check out our community groups page.

Advent Service – December 3

Make plans to attend this year’s Advent service: Hope Is Alive! Join us at our South End location (3021 Griffith St.) at 7pm on Sunday, December 3rd. Advent is all about longing, waiting, and even angst. We live in a world of brokenness and death while we wait for the return of Jesus knowing that someday all will be made new. Our hope for the Advent service this year, as we reflect on longing for Jesus’ return, is that we’ll leave this service wanting Jesus more.

REEL: See the Big Picture…Your Movies Your Story – Jan. 26th

All Men and Women of Hope are invited to this REEL Movie experience at Hope South End from 6:15-9:30pm. We will be looking at what our favorite movies say about ourselves, our story, and what we desire. We will also look at how they can connect us to God and to each other. If you attended the men’s REEL event last year, please come again! This will be a unique experience from last time, with a different focus and we would love for you to invite your friends this time.

REEL is an eye-opening experience that taps into the wonder of your favorite movies to give you a new way to see yourself, as well as the people you love, work and play with. Check out their website for more information www.reelexperiences.org

Cost: $25 (catered dinner provided)

Register here. Registration closes December 31, 2017

Fall Women’s Bible Study – February 2018

We will meet each Wednesday morning from 10:30am -12pm. We will be studying the book, “Walking With God in the Seasons of Motherhood” by Melissa Kruger. This study will be led by several women from Hope who have years of experience raising children. So if you’ve ever longed for an older woman to come along side you in your mothering, whether you’re currently raising toddlers or teens, this study is for you! Bring your questions, your worries, and your prayer requests. We will meet in the OP Fellowship Hall each Wednesday. Childcare will be provided but you will need to register your need for childcare on our website.  Click here to register. Contact Jen Guzi (jenguzi@hopecommunity.com) with questions.
