Preparing To Rejoice In Him // September 8th, 2019

Reflection

“We all know that the opposite of planning is not a wonderful flow of deep, spontaneous experiences in prayer. The opposite of planning is the same old rut. If you don’t plan a vacation, you will probably stay home and watch TV. The natural, unplanned flow of spiritual life sinks to the lowest ebb of vitality.” – John Piper

God Calls Us To Worship :: Colossians 3:16

[16] Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (ESV)

Worship In Song :: Rest My Soul

Rise, my soul arise God’s in control
You’re not alone
Rise into His light, His plans are good
You’re on His side

God of perfect peace
You are here with me
On this raging sea it’s true
You won’t let me go
You’re my joy, my hope
I will rest my soul in You

Sing, my soul now sing
For He is strong and you are weak
Yeah, sing with everything
You’re savior’s praise wave after wave

God’s Word Preached :: Colossians 4:2-6

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
