Cotswold Children’s Ministry CoordinatorErin McClain, Cotswold Children’s Ministry Coordinator
Though they are rare, Erin is a native Charlottean. She grew up loving this city, the changing seasons and living so close to her grandparents. As a young girl, Erin professed faith in Jesus, though it was in high school that Jesus truly captured her heart.
Erin went to the University of North Carolina. Having deep friendships, she learned the gift of community and walking through life with sisters in Christ. Post-college, Erin was a Capital Fellow at McLean Presbyterian Church and followed that with a stint on Young Life Staff in Arlington, Virginia. Erin met her husband, Graham, at Young Life camp. They married in 2009 and moved back to Charlotte in 2010.
Charlotte brought many things Erin didn’t expect- many closed doors, a short career in teaching, and a call to a church that wouldn’t let her take the well beaten path of believing her merit was good enough for God. It has been at Hope that Erin has learned the beauty of weakness and how refreshing and freeing the Gospel truly is.
Erin and Graham have two children- Gray, born in 2013 and Annie, born in 2015. When they’re not trying to figure out how to be parents, Erin loves to dream of house projects to start and leave unfinished, sitting in the sunshine, going to the Y, watching legal dramas and riding roller coasters.
