Luke Kaiser, OP Ruling Elder

Luke grew up on a farm in Nebraska, where you could find him wearing boots and plyers and driving a tractor or playing sports. His family was regularly involved in church, and Luke grew up participating in various youth groups.

After studying Business Management and Math in college, Luke played for Athletes in Action (the sports ministry of Cru). There, the Bible knowledge he was exposed to began to take root in a personal way, as he began to process/understand that there is nothing we can do to earn a relationship with Jesus.

That same summer Luke met Alisha, and they married in 2007. Together they spent next 10+ years discipling college athletes with the majority of their time at the University Minnesota. They moved to Charlotte and started attending Hope Community Church in 2018. Hope has been such a blessing and a place for Luke to metabolize the Truth and theology of the Bible.

Professionally, Luke has operated a couple of small businesses in town. Outside of work, Luke enjoys deep conversations around a bonfire/cigar/bourbon/bold red wine/coffee, exploring new restaurants, adventures with his bride and kids Weston, Avery, Willa, Beau, and occasionally hitting the gym.
