Doug Steele, OP Deacon

Doug was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Grove City College where he came to faith and began his spiritual journey. Immediately after graduation he moved to Charlotte, where he met and married his incredible wife Laurie at Calvary Church. Doug and Laurie have been attending Hope full-time since 2016. They are proud parents of 3 sons, Dan (7/1983), David (2/1986, deceased) and Mark (12/1994). All three are Physical Therapists.

In 2019, Doug retired from Wells Fargo after a 43 year career in banking and the investment business. He enjoys time with his family, working around the yard, spending time outdoors and at Lake James. He is an avid sports fan, especially all things Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and North Carolina Tar Heels.
