Miranda Reger
South End Worship CoordinatorMiranda Reger, South End Worship Coordinator
My family and I have called Hope our home since 2008, when we noticed it move into our neighborhood on Scaleybark. I joined the worship team a couple of years later after sitting through an Advent service with only two musicians. I loved the service but wanted so badly to have added in some harmonies with them.
I’ve been a part of choirs, bands, trios and duos since I was a teenager, and as an adult, I’ve had the joy of being involved in the Charlotte music scene for a number of years. The Lord has always used music as a way to draw me closer to Him, and I feel that much of my spiritual formation has developed while participating in Hope’s worship. Our small team of volunteers all of those years ago was like a second community group for me as we worked through seasons of personal and church-wide grief and celebration together. Over the years, getting to serve in worship with the team has been a true blessing in my life. And now, the call to step into this role as South End‘s Worship Coordinator feels like such a gift. I’m so grateful for Kate’s sure and steady leadership the past almost 4 years, and the community she’s built within our team. It reminds me of early Hope days, just way more organized and structured. 🙂 While I will miss her dearly, I can’t wait to see how the Holy Spirit continues to work and move among our South End congregation and I am so thankful to get to be a part of it.
