Sid Druen
Pastor of Leadership CommunitySid Druen, Pastor of Leadership Community
Sid Druen was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He moved down to North Carolina, where he graduated from Davidson College. While attending Davidson, Sid became a Christian, discovered the message of grace, and met his wife, Tere. Sid and Tere have 3 children who were all born in New Mexico: Carol, William, and Millie.
Sid came to ministry as a second career. He first taught and coached at a school near Washington D.C. Sid got his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. After RTS, Sid became an RUF Campus Minister for 10 years: 4 years at New Mexico State University and 6 years at Davidson College. He then felt called to pastor in the local church- first as lead pastor of NorthCross Church and now as an Associate Pastor at Hope.
Sid‘s spiritual life and ministry has been most influenced by RUF’s philosophy of ministry, Barnabas Counseling, and the words and works of Tim Keller, Eugene Peterson, and Frederick Buechner. Sid enjoys strong cups of coffee, a good story (novels, movies, and tv shows), walking in the woods, watching sports (especially Charlotte FC, Carolina Panthers, and Ohio State), and playing sports where you mostly stand around and sometimes sweat.
