GOD CALLS US TO WORSHIP :: LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24

CONFESSION OF SIN & ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Elder: Almighty God, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed; we have not loved you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength; we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.

People: Deepen within us our sorrow for the wrong we have done, and the good we have left undone.

Elder: Lord, you are full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy; there is always forgiveness with you!

People: Restore to us the joy of your salvation; bind up that which is broken, give light to our minds, strength to our wills, and rest to our souls. Speak to each of us, and let your word abide with us until it has wrought in us your holy will. Amen.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

[3] I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, [4] always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, [5] because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. [6] And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. [7] It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.
